The 15 Second Investor Rule

Family Office expert, Richard C. Wilson, shares a capital raising strategy that will help you gain the attention of investors Hello is Richard Wilson coming from downtown San Francisco. We just finished up our 275 person Family Office Deal Flow Summit where we had 130 investors in the room. I wanted to give a quick takeaway that I got from one of our panelists of Corporate Venture Capital Group, Intel Capital ‘s Corporate Venture Capital Fund had a team member on a panel and he said, if you can’t summarize what you’re doing in a valuable way in 15 seconds or less, you’re basically dead in the water and people lose interest. And if you can’t do that, you need to go home, do your homework. I think that reinforces what we talk about at our capital raising bootcamps. It reinforces what other family offices say. I’d really ask yourself if you can summarize what you’re doing in 15 seconds or less. Before you go to the next event or your next meeting or print your next one pager or a pitch deck out, I would for sure make sure that you can do that. I hope you found this valuable. It’s Richard Wilson for The Family Office Club. Come you from San Francisco today. And I’ll see you at the next event. If you haven’t checked out familyoffices.com yet, please do. Take care.
