Industrial commercial real estate is a space that’s growing exponentially in popularity when it comes to commercial real estate investment. While this space may have once started in factories, it has now expanded into everything from call centers and distribution to self-storage and everything in between. During this post-pandemic world, the benefits of investing in industrial real estate are being realized more and more. 

Richard Wilson: What is industrial commercial real estate? 

Robert Borris: Industrial real estate is really a broad, broad category of real estate. It includes everything from factories to flex buildings to land to distribution centers and now it even is bumping up into the area of distribution centers and data centers, self-storage facilities, there’s all kinds of stuff that now are industrial real estate. But it all started with factories.
